About Us
The mission of Buda Star™ is to build an efficient society and cultivate a conscious populous. We do this by developing sustainable products & businesses, which are supported by technology that reinforces the habit of living well.
Our First Product the PopCup™ aims to end the need for using disposable cups by making a better cup that is both unforgettable and designed to accommodate all of your favorite beverages. (patent pending)
Some unique features of our collapsible cup includes its ability to be used for hot and cold drinks. Our adjustable slide opener has two stops. Stop one is a small opening for sipping hot drinks. Stop two is for a large straw great for bubble tea or smoothies. The slider can also be removed for cleaning. Most importantly our products are made from medical grade materials that are non-porous, non-leaching and non-staining. This ensures that your cup will not hold onto any drink color, taste or smell.
Our goal is to create a cup to replace 3 (plus thousands) : your water bottle, your acrylic tumbler, and your coffee mug...plus your disposable beer, wine, beverage cup. So we designed our cup to be small enough to slip into a pocket or a purse so that you have a cup with you at the next cafe or get together you go to. Simplify and use your PopCup™ everywhere, everyday for everything.
This is just the first of many product that we are developing to support your sustainable lifestyle. For us the defining element of sustainability is efficiency and this criteria has led us to design products that reduce labor allowing them to be made close to market. All of our products are manufactured in California. We hope you enjoy them and are inspired to live better.

Who is buda star?
Nova Lee, Founder Inventor

Nova became interested in environmental concerns after joining Creating our future, a club at Los Altos High School. She earned a degree in Geography from UCSB and went on to work as a naturalist, campaign organizer, sustainable technology developer and for non-profit groups. Prior to launching Buda Star she was the merchandise manager for Kanu Hawaii. Durring her time at Kanu Hawaii she discovered an eager market for reusable products but found few if any compact items that worked well. This led her back to Los Altos to start Buda Star. "Over the last 20 years I have seen many of the same problems lacking new solutions. Telling people what to do is the easy part, giving them a how to do it, is whats needed. Buda star is all about providing the 'How' to succeed."
